Our team from Hillside will be joining the efforts of Trinity Church (EFCA) in Covington, Louisiana, to bring support and relief to those who have suffered great loss in the New Orleans area. Your faithful prayer will be the foundation of our trip. Please pray for our team as well as the people we are serving, before during and after the trip.

• For the people in the Gulf region as they continue their daily struggle to recover from the losses they have experienced
• That our team will be effective as we offer our support and service to the people of Louisiana
• That we will show Christ’s love as we serve with compassion
• That each member of our team will remain healthy despite the conditions we will be exposed to
• That above all, God would receive all the glory for anything we might be able to accomplish

If you would like to contribute monetary donations please designate your offering for “Katrina Relief” and place it into the offering bag or mail it to the Church. The funds will be used for such things as:

• Supporting relief teams in the New Orleans area
• Supplies and food needed by the people displaced by Hurricane Katrina
• Building supplies to support the rebuilding effort in the area
• Bibles for homeowners and residents in the area

For those who would like to donate goods, the following are most needed by the people in the area:

• Gift cards for Wal-Mart, Lowe’s or Shell Gas
• N95 face masks w/exhalation valve
• New packaged & labeled FULL sheets
• Deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Individually wrapped breakfast and granola bars
