Other than a family member, who has influenced your life the most? Did you intentionally choose that person to play that role, or did it just happen? Joe reviewed and summarized this series based on the Sermon on the Mount. What conclusions have you drawn from this series? In other words, when someone says "sermon on the mount" where will your mind go? In all three of these chapters, which phrase stands out the most and why? What did you think of Joe's primary description of "random acts of kingdom'? Discuss how this is different from or similar to making the world a better place, paying it forward or random acts of kindness? Are they vastly different or fairly similar? As Joe listed random acts of kingdom, did any if his examples allude to something you might be able to do now? Talk about a decision that you’ll need to make soon and how it could turn into a random act of kingdom. (i.e., ..because I am compelled by the fact that Jesus rose from the dead....) |
