Do you know of any proven fact in all of history that has shown something in the Bible to be false? Did the overall message give you greater confidence in the authority of Scripture? Was there one argument in particular that seals the deal for you? Did any of you find the sermon’s arguments to be weak, leaving you with doubts about the uniqueness of the Bible (that’s all he’s got?)? Are you comfortable saying that there are other books that provide spiritual benefit and inspiration? Try to articulate the difference between the Bible’s effects on you versus any other books’. It’s popular to say there are many sources for spiritual guidance – to what degree do you agree? Joe exuded a confidence about the Bible. Do you think that confidence is warranted? If you agree that it is, does this morning’s message lead you to make any changes in your life, in regards to reading scripture more, obeying what it says, or communicating it to others? What does this morning’s sermon mean to you? |
