Growth Groups

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

What is a “Growth Group”? It is a group of 10 to 14 people who meet weekly to share their lives, study God’s Word, and support one another in prayer and caring for one another. A trained leader/facilitator and a host lead each group. An average meeting lasts for an hour and a half and may include a meal or light refreshments. A Growth Group (GG) is formatted to provide an environment for development of our love for God, love for one another, and love for one's neighbor. (Luke 6:40)

When and where do they meet? Growth Groups meet on various days or nights of the week, in locations throughout the Santa Clara Valley. Most evening GG meet from 7pm to 9pm. Times for daytime groups vary.

What is the required commitment? Commitment is key to a strong GG. Joining a GG requires a minimum 9- to 11-week commitment to participate in weekly meetings and complete the assignment ahead of time. Obviously, allowances are made for sickness, vacation, work conflicts, and other special circumstances. You will have the first three weeks to attend the group and make sure it’s a good fit for you.

How do I choose a GG? When selecting a group, we strongly suggest you choose a group based on its leader-host team and station-in-life, rather than its location. For more information on open groups, please email  .
