The Middle: JR High Ministry

Sunday  |  9am
Wednesday  |  7pm-9am

The goal of our ministry is to inspire students to make their relationship with God personal and deep. We help students grow in their faith through small groups, worship, opportunities for outreach, and Biblical teaching. A typical Sunday consists of a game, worship, and teaching. We go through books of the Bible during the school year and focus on life topics in the summer. Our goal for Sunday mornings is that students can see the Bible as a whole. Wednesdays night is our main program and devoted to small groups. On Wednesdays we play games and separate into smaller groups to discuss life application topics (e.g. fruits of the Spirit, Ten Commandments, etc).

We have many trips and events throughout the year. We attend Hume Lake Winter Camp in February and Hume Lake Summer Camp in July. In March, we have a Guy and Girls retreat weekend (the Guys trip is for 8th Grade only). Every year, the Junior High holds a mission's trip to San Francisco in the summer to serve people who are suffering from poverty, physical and mental abuse, and HIV. Wednesday nights in the summer become special events that involve water balloon throwing, eating contests, and other fun activities.
