What influenced him as a teenager in his first days as a Christian has shaped his ministry values ever since: From first-hand experience, he is convinced that spiritual growth comes by knowing and living the truth of Scripture within the family of God, His church, and in the world. Since earning the Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary (Biola) he has pastored several Evangelical Free Churches in California. He began his ministry here at Hillside in February of 1996, and he is moved by the church's generous heart as she reaches out to others. His primary responsibilities within Hillside are staff oversight, ministry implementation, Adult Bible Fellowship, and Men's Ministries.
In 1968 he married his wife, Sandy, and together they raised a daughter and son who have blessed them with nine grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, candlelight dinners with the family, good coffee, and his iPad.
