Foundations of Biblical Counseling Training Class

Foundations of Biblical Counseling is a 35 week series of classes teaching the “why” of counseling, a model for structuring counseling and practice with the most common issues in Biblical counseling. This course is for those who want to better understand how to apply God’s Word to the daily issues of life, and to help others do the same. It is the first step towards either a Lay Counseling Certificate or ACBC certification, and is required for participation as a counselor in Hillside’s Counseling Ministry.
There will be up to 4 hours a week of homework in addition to class time. Once a week we will meet together to discuss the video training each student reviews prior to class. Two books will be required reading for the course. One is provided in the course and the other each student will need to purchase for the class.
