UPCOMING TRIPS

This summer we have the opportunity to support the ministry of the Ramirez family! Jerson and Nely Ramirez have been Hillside missionaries since 2023 in Central Asia. Our team will consist of 6-8 people who will teach English and partner with a local church to engage their community

What you need to know:

When is it happening? July 15th - 28th.

What is expected of team members? This short-term mission trip is not for the faint of heart. Our team will be serving in a rural area without great access to electricity. Team members will be staying in the homes of church members and will need the ability to adapt to the culture. They will be expected to dress conservatively, and eat whatever foods their host families feed them. Additionally travel time will be almost 30 hours each way, so stamina is required. 

What are the requirements? In addition to what was stated above. Team members must be Hillside members, with a strong testimony of salvation and a growing faith in Christ. We will be looking for team members who are already active in serving at Hillside, especially in ministries that are similar to the work we will be doing in Central Asia. Perspective team members will need to fill out an application and include references from within Hillside. Additionally team members will need to commit to raising funds and attending about eight meetings in preparation for the trip.

How can I pray? Pray that the Lord would assemble a great team. Pray for the Ramirez family as they prepare for our coming. Pray for wisdom as we make preparations. Pray that the Lord would be preparing the hearts of the people we will be serving.
